So March has blown in, Sydney is rainy and windy but still warm. We are snugged down in Blackwattle Bay for now but getting ready to move back ashore for winter. Whimsey still feels very much our home and it has been great to have a few months on board.

Sunny Manly

We have been on the move this year but not always on Whimsey.

In March we moved across the harbour from the pixie house in Glebe to a sun filled unit overlooking Manly wharf.

The owners of the unit returned from overseas in November so we have moved back aboard for the summer holidays.

Let the boatwork begin!!

Early summer in Sydney

This year we have been out and about in Whimsey very early in the season. Labour day holiday weekend we were anchored outside of Manly Aquarium. Erin went out for a kayak and was joined by a pod of dolphins.
Since then we have been anchored in Glebe and sleeping aboard enjoying the warm weather.

26 years later

So great to be on Whimsey with Shiv, Ash and Sharon 26 years after we all met in Sydney.

Holding up the traffic!

This is a couple of weekends ago but this year we are back in  exploring mode. The last few years we have headed to Manly and stayed in Q bay for most of the summer. This year we have been back under Spit Bridge for a rainy weekend in Sugarloaf bay and anchored in front of Manly Aquarium. Did a lunch stop over at Watsons Bay but it is pretty deep so better to return when we have a working windlass!!
